MISS WORLD 21-yr-old Venezuelan orphan Ivian Sarcos wins Miss World 2011





Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares, (born July 26, 1989, in Guanare, Portuguesa, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan beauty queen who won the Miss World 2011 and Miss World Venezuela 2010 titles. Ivian is a Diplomacy student who stands 1.80 m (5'11") tall. She was studying to be a nun. Being an orphan at the age of 8 as her parents passed away, Sarcos was raised by the nuns in a convent in Cojedes. She intended to become a nun, but she eventually gave up the idea and realized that her appearance would give her a chance to become famed and she started her career as a model.







Sarcos Ivián devoted to Venezuela with a record of six world crowns in addition to six universal crowns after winning the Miss World 2011 held in London, England. I want to help people like me - I grew up an orphan - and I would also like to help the elderly and teenagers with problems and everyone I can," the young Venezuelan, who was left an orphan when she was 8 years old and at one time thought of becoming a nun, said.



The event, at which the youthful beauties posed in gowns of all different styles and colors, took place at the Earls Court Exhibition Center in London, the city where the pageant originated 60 years ago.



The winner will spend a year visiting different beneficent projects around the world.
